Vitamin E

Vitamin E is one of the most powerful antioxidants essential for the prevention of cellular damage, as well as the repair and maintenance of healthy skin.  By exposing your skin to environmental factors such as the ultra-violet rays of the sun, free radicals are produced in the body.  Antioxidants neutralize the oxidant effect of these free radicals, which are molecules that damage collagen and cause dryness of the skin, fine lines and wrinkles. Vitamin E is not sufficiently produced by the body, and it is therefore important to ensure that we ingest an adequate amount of this nutrient.
