Lemon balm

Lemon balm is a member of the mint family and is considered a calming herb. It has been used for hundreds of years to reduce stress and anxiety, promote sleep, improve appetite, and ease pain and discomfort from indigestion including gas, bloating and colic. In years gone by, it was steeped in wine to heal wounds and treat venomous bites and stings. Today, lemon balm is often combined with other calming, soothing herbs, such as valerian, chamomile, and hops, to promote relaxation.
